The hopper crusher is designed for grinding grains of cereals, maize and legumes into ground grain. It is intended for use by individual farms. The shredder produced by us is characterized by a vertical drive, which gives it a great advantage over traditional horizontal shredders commonly used in Poland. By combining the operation of the motor rotating around the vertical axis and the construction of the crusher with charging from the top, the grain falls by gravity through the grinder chamber, which prevents excessive turbulence and as a result dust and dust emission is reduced to a minimum, so the use of a filter is not necessary. Thanks to this, we gain an increase in efficiency in relation to the horizontal shredders. While falling vertically, the grain is crushed by the beater head assembly. The large surface area of the sieves means that the temperature is lower, which reduces condensation. In addition, the lower temperature has a beneficial effect on the maintenance of minerals and vitamins in the pellet. The hopper crusher can work together with a screw conveyor that feeds grain and a screw conveyor that receives the grain, or it can be directly used on a horizontal mixer.
